Process
From introduction to delivery, in six steps.
Every service rests on the same backbone. Scope in writing, a clear proposal, a transparent payment plan, and deliverables open to your review.
01
Introduction (15 min)
A free online meeting. We listen to your current situation and goal. We determine the service type suitable for you and which tier it falls into (academic / corporate / individual).
02
Scope
Within 2-3 business days after the introduction, we send a written scope document. Which deliverables, what timeline, which standards, which assumptions. The door for questions and answers stays open.
03
Proposal
Once the scope is agreed upon, a written proposal follows. Pricing is USD-based; payment is collected in TL at the CBRT exchange rate on the day of the meeting. A clear payment plan.
04
Kickoff
Work begins after proposal approval and the kickoff payment. For long projects such as systematic reviews, a milestone plan is created. For artificial intelligence and software work, repository access is clarified.
05
Interim Deliverables
Weekly or milestone-based interim deliverables depending on the nature of the work. In the form of a short written report, screen recording, or call. 3-5 business days for feedback.
06
Final Delivery & Revision
Final delivery within the scope specified in the contract. Two rounds of revision are standard (for academic services). Extensions beyond the contract are handled as a separate proposal.
Authorship Policy
ICMJE Vancouver criteria
In paid consulting projects, the standard approach is acknowledgment: it is noted in the acknowledgments section of the article as "statistical consulting" or "data engineering support."
A co-author offer is only considered if all four of ICMJE's Vancouver criteria are met:
- Substantial contribution to conception/design or data acquisition/analysis/interpretation
- Drafting work or revising for critical intellectual content
- Final approval of version to be published
- Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work
Arrangements of the "authorship in exchange for a payment discount" type are declined. This practice is both inconsistent with ICMJE and contrary to publication ethics.
KVKK Compliance
All patient data is worked on anonymously or pseudonymously. We do not share any data requiring identifying information, and KVKK compliance is guaranteed by contract.
Data Ownership
All raw data, interim outputs, and final deliverables of the study are yours. Anonymized aggregate data may be shared for sample/portfolio purposes, only with your approval.
Revision
For academic services, two rounds of revision are standard. In corporate packages, unlimited iteration within scope, with out-of-scope extensions handled as a separate proposal.
Transparency
The contract template can be shared before the meeting. Hourly reporting is optional (automatic in retainer packages).
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How is pricing handled?
All services are priced in USD; payment is collected in TL at the CBRT exchange rate on the day of the meeting. This ensures the value is not affected by currency fluctuations. Every proposal is tied to a written scope document; the payment plan (kickoff, milestone, delivery) is clarified during the meeting.
What is the average project duration?
Thesis statistics and manuscript consulting typically take 1-3 weeks, major revision defense 1-2 weeks, a full systematic review process 3-6 months (depending on scope), TUBITAK feasibility 2-4 weeks, and a corporate artificial intelligence pilot study 4-8 weeks. Durations are given as written commitments in the scope document.
Do you accept co-author offers?
Only if all four ICMJE Vancouver criteria are fully met: substantial intellectual contribution, drafting/revising, final approval, and accountability. In paid consulting projects, the standard approach is acknowledgment. Authorship offers in exchange for a payment discount are declined.
How is KVKK compliance ensured?
Patient data is worked on anonymously or pseudonymously, and no data requiring identifying information is shared. The contract commits to technical and administrative measures as required by KVKK Article 12. Within 30 days of project completion, all raw data is destroyed; any retained aggregate anonymous outputs are subject to your approval.
Which specialties and sectors do you work with?
On the academic side, all medical specialties, nursing, physiotherapy, health sciences, and engineering theses; on the corporate side, health technology, finance, law, e-commerce, education, and media companies. In the therapeutic areas where I develop my own products, I do not provide consulting in order to avoid conflicts of interest; in all other areas, I work under an NDA.
Do you work online or in person?
Online by default (Zoom, Google Meet). In-person meetings within Istanbul are possible on request; site visits, hospital data collection, or workshops requiring domestic travel can be planned at additional cost.
What are the cancellation and refund terms?
For work that has not started, the kickoff payment is fully refunded. For started projects, fees for delivered milestones are non-refundable, while remaining milestones can be canceled. In long projects such as systematic reviews, the milestone-based plan supports early termination in the client's favor.
